What is a person?
A person is a chemical body inhabited by a soul. We all have our own unique minds inside our brains that are affected by memory, biochemicals, and the environment. A person has their own qualities, body and inspirations. We seek satisfaction and improvement with ourselves and the material world surrounding us, which generates our needs, wants and goals.
A person has emotions, reactions and reasons for their actions: "In humans, emotion fundamentally involves 'physiological arousal, expressive behaviors, conscious experience,' " (Wikipedia). We can get varying illnesses, physical or mental. A person has interests and hunger for certain things such as public gossip, money, literature, attention, company and conversation, entertainment, flavors, addictions and rules.
I believe in idealism, that we have a conscious mind, and our over-thinking is what creates the illusions around us, such as materialism. However, I would like to believe a person is just a tiny piece of mould on a peach falling out of a tree.
